2017 Delaware State Championship

DE Post 1 Loses to Eventual Regional Winner and plays an epic game in the Loser's Bracket

In the Mid Atlantic Regionals, DE Post One won their Opener over the Virginia Champ (Albemarle) 5-2, but lost to the eventual tournament Champ New Jersey 11-9 in the 2nd round.

The next game was against the other Virginia Team (Host Leesburg) and the game went into extra innings before Virginia prevailed 9-8.

In the Winner Bracket Final, New Jersey beat Pennsylvania (Ephrata) but lost to Virginia (Leesburg) in the Semi-final round. New Jersey drew the bye in the first Championship Game and beat Pennsylvania (Ephrata) 10-6 to clinch the Regional Championship.

All the games were close, but New Jersey (4-1) eventually came out on top, earning a berth in the 2017 American Legion Baseball World Series.
