Post One gets the Win

Mike Nester started on the mound for the General’s and went 1 2/3 inn before Windett came in relief 2nd inn and on to Bolan in the 4th inn … all three pitchers battled through heat and a barrage of hits scattered through multiple innings off the bats of the Post One lineup .

On the other side of the lines Post One started Logan Myers who went 2 strong inns and gave up  1 hit to the General’s  starting 3rd baseman and StE’s graduate Jaden Dickerson which scored 2 runs in the B 2nd  ( 2 for 3 on the night w/ 2rbi ) . Ryan Riechard came on in relief for pitch count protection in the 3rd inn and pitched 2 very strong inns retiring the side in order in the 3rd and only giving up 2 hits in his outing to Jones and Dickerson which seemed to be the heart of the Generals lineup in the matchup.

One run was scored off of a throwing error in the bottom of the 3rd by Post One. DMA graduate  starting pitcher and DIAA State Baseball Champion Pat Crawford came in the game in the 5th to pitch 2 inns of shutout baseball and even helped himself at the plate with an RBI triple in the 6th . Post One pitching staff combined for 9 K’s on the night . Post One starting catcher Mason DeLuca had multiple hits and contributed 2 rbi on the night as well .

Post One had multiple hits and scored the magnitude of their runs in the 4th inn which eventually led to a final score of 12-3 for the Post One win .
