Yes they are on there way to Shelby NC for the World Series. Delaware American Legion Baseball has another team headed to the American World Series in Shelby NC. Wilmington’s DelVets Post 1 won the Mid Atlantic Regionals in gutsy fashion needing to win a double header to win the Championship. In the first game they came from a 2 run deficit in the bottom of the 11th inning to defeat Cumberland MD 7-6. In the championship game the went ahead in the bottom of the 5th inning defeating Northeastern PA Legion 3-2.
World Series play will start on Aug 15th. Delaware will play Billings MT at 7:30pm on ESPN 3
