After a tough loss in game 1, Stahl settles down to take game 2

Game 1: Stahl jumped out to a quick lead in the top of the first inning after leadoff batter Dom Fernicola singled, and Matt Hammond doubled to bring Fernicola home.

Canal answered back ominously by putting up nine runs in the first inning, with all players in the batter order reaching home.

After that, Post 25’s Jake Walls held Post 30 batters to a total of four hits for the game, striking out six.  Canal posted three more runs, and the game ended after five innings of play.  Post 25’s Colton Duckworth went 3 for 3 with an RBI, and put up a tremendous catching performance behind the plate.

Game 2: Stahl battled back to earn the win in an up and down game.

Dylan Grygo drew four walks and scored three of Post 30’s runs with keen baserunning, while the Hinton brothers’ pitching duo held Post 25’s offense to half the runs of the previous game.

Joey Lungen went 2 for 3 for Post 25 with an RBI, and Colton Duckworth’s timely single in the fourth inning drove in two of Canal’s runs.
