Delaware Post 1 shuts out Canal Post 25

Chris Ludman shuts down Canal's Bats.

Chris Ludman pitched a complete game shutout for Post 1, striking out 10 and allowing only 3 hits.
 
Matt Poma hit an RBI double and Jacob Meisel followed with an RBI single to provide all the scoring in the 4th inning.
 
alls had a single, stolen base, and struck out 3 batters in 2 innings of relief for Post 25.

Fox Post 2 Takes 2 From Post 10 Newark

Hass Stays the Course in Game 1, Cam Turner hangs on in the 2nd game

Game 1:
In the first game Joey Haas pitched a complete game giving up 5 hits 4ks no walks.

Fox Post fell behind 2-0 in the top of the first on a Barker home run. Fox post scored one in the bottom of the first and took control with 4 in the bottom of the second.

They added 2 more in the fourth and fifth, then closed the game with 4 in the sixth.

Barker started for Post 10

Pitch counts Fox Post Haass 71 Post 10 Barker 69 Lesher 60 and Hebert 29

Game 2:
Fox Post won 5-3 led by Tommy Pomatto 3-3 and Joey Wunsch 2-3 and 2 RBI

Cam Turner got the win going 5 innings giving up one run

Tommy Pomatto pitched the 6th and Garrett Lawson got the save pitching a perfect 7th.

Canal Post 25, R.C. DuPont Aviators Split

Post 25 jumps out early to get the win, but R.C. comes back in the 2nd Game

Canal jumped out to a two-run lead in the first inning, then RC’s Spencer Read hit a two-run homer in the top of the fourth to tie the score. 

Canal’s bats lit up in the bottom of the fourth inning with six runs, led by Alex Weber who hit two doubles on the day for three RBI’s.  Canal’s Dylan Lenard held RC to six hits over 5 1/3 innings recording four strikeouts; and Garrett Alexander came in to finish the game for Canal, holding RC to one hit and striking out three.

Game 2:
Canal’s Mikayle Holloway slammed a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth to tie the score at three.

In the top of the seventh, critical errors from Canal allowed RC to score three unanswered runs to seal victory in game 2, and split the doubleheader.  RC’s Trevor Jump came in to pitch in the middle of the bottom of the sixth, and finished the game by holding Canal batters to no runs or walks, and recorded three strikeouts.
