Ryan Bishop pitched 6+ innings allowing 6 hits and 1 run on just 68 pitches in notching his first victory on the season. He allowed just 3 singles prior to the 7th inning until Davis homered for Post 14 for their only run. Mike Carrow followed with a double and Cole Garey singled chasing Bishop
Bryan Bullock came on in relief and recorded 3 quick outs to shut down the rally.
Davis went 5 innings for Smyrna in a losing effort yielding 4 runs on 8 hits while striking out 4 and stranding 8 runners on base.
Offensively, Post 7 was led by Connor Megginson making his debut and going 3 for 3 with a single, double, and triple, 2 RBIs and a run scored. Blaine Hansen went 2 for 3 with a double and rbi.
With the win, Post 7 improves to 2-1 on the year (1-1 in league play). Post 14 falls to 2-4 on the season.
Post 7 travels to Canal Post 25 on Thursday at 6pm and will face another out of league opponent on Saturday as Talbot County visits Post 7 in a doubleheader.
