Bats Come Alive in Milford Tuesday

The game almost didn't happen, as field conditions in Milford forced a move to the nearby Milford Middle School field, but when the field was ready, the Post 6 bats came alive.

In the continuation game, (play had stopped due to darkness in the bottom of the 5th) the score was 10-2, with a man on second, one out and Justin Gray coming to bat.

Milford Pitcher Wade Brooks got Gray to strike out, but Jordan Haddaway lifted a long fly ball to center which was missed by the fielder, scoring Trey Toppin, who had come in for Matt Warrington - score 11-2.

Milford got one more in the sixth after Post 6 turned a double play, Connor Megginson Walked, took 2nd on a wild pitch and scored on Anthony Oscar's single to center. But that was the end of the scoring.

Winning Pitcher was the starter, Jordan Haddaway. Taking the loss was Michael Robertson.

In the second game, K-Ci Widdowson got the Patriots started with a lead off single, (he would bat 4 for 4 with 2 runs and 4 RBIs) as the Patriots pounded out 17 hits, with only one extra base hit (Haddaway's 3rd Inning Triple)

Meanwhile, Post 6 Pitchers Dylan Nibblett and Jordan Haddaway were combining on a 4 hit, 12 strikeout shutout of Milford, who obnly had 3 runners reach scoring position. Blaine Hansen provided a bright spot for Post 7 with his one out Triple in the 3rd, but he was left out at 3rd as Haddaway struck out the next 2 batters.

Haddaway picked up his 2nd win on the day in relief, Ryan Bishop took the loss for CKRT Post 7
