Stahl Post 30 American Legion Baseball Defeat Walter Fox Post 2 On Multiple Hit Performance By Pankowski

JJ Pankowski collected three hits in four at bats, as Stahl Post 30 American Legion Baseball defeated Walter Fox Post 2, 8-4 on Monday. JJ Pankowski singled in the fifth inning, singled in the second inning, and singled in the fourth inning.
A single by Kellen Roberts following a 6-pitch at-bat put Stahl Post 30 on the board in the top of the second.
Walter Fox Post 2 tied the game in the bottom of the second thanks to a single by P Lyon, and a sacrifice fly by J Sanchez.
In the top of the fourth, Stahl Post 30 broke up the tie when Kellen Roberts singled, scoring two runs. Then a wild pitch followed to extend the lead to 5-2.
John Grybowski started on the hill for Stahl Post 30. The pitcher allowed four hits and three runs (zero earned) over six innings, striking out six and walking four. Ryan Zimmerman stepped on the mound first for Walter Fox Post 2. The starting pitcher gave up eight hits and seven runs (six earned) over four innings, striking out one and walking two. Charlie Porter appeared in relief for Stahl Post 30.
Stahl Post 30 tallied 11 hits in the game. JJ Pankowski and Mike Baker were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits for Stahl Post 30 while hitting back-to-back. Kellen Roberts led Stahl Post 30 with three runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The outfielder went 2-for-4 on the day.
J Drago Jr, J Sanchez, P Lyon, and #13 each drove in one run for Walter Fox Post 2. C Bean led Walter Fox Post 2 with two hits in four at bats.
