Welcome Back Post 1 RHP Jack Burns

By Brian Ratasiewicz 07/16/2021, 7:15am EDT

“The Equalizer” to the mound on a hot steamy night !!

Post One Right Hand Pitcher Jack Burns takes the hill for the 1st time since his last start in High School for the Spartans of St. Mark’s and brings his change -up back to top form once again –

It was a hitters night for most, if not all of the Post One line-up Thursday night and they got to Post 10 Generals SP Hauser in his 3 inns of work ( 5 hits and 8 runs charged to his line ) before going to the pen and bringing in Bovankoci in the bottom of the 3rd .  That was all Mr. Burns needed to let his FB and Change-up do their own damage to the Post 10 line-up of – Jack went 5 inns for Post 1 giving up 4 runs on 4 hits ( 2 of them to Post 10 starting SS Hollaway w/ a double and single 2 rbi night ).

The Post One team won in 5 inns by 10 run rule when a bases loaded double off the bat of Tyler Satterfield scored  all 3 men on base as Christian Colmery was running like a receiver for the end zone scoring from 1st base on the centerfield gap shot off Satterfields bat … It truly was an all hands on deck W for Post One as plethora of hitters contributed on the 9 hit 14 run night !

Brelick , Hauser and Hollpway all had hits for the Post 10 Generals … Burns get his 1st win for Post One and Bovankoci takes the loss for the Generals
